Traditional martial arts of Uzbekistan familiar with Yudo, adoption as a regular item from 2018 Asian Game

  YU Yudo Team (Manager: LEE Jeong-hwa) acquired two gold medals in 2022 Korea Kurash Association National Athlete Contest.

  Player KIM Ji-young (2nd grade of Department of Special Athletic Education, Female - 70kg) and Player HWAN Ye-jin (3rd grade of Athletic Faculty, female - under 52kg) ranked at 1st place and were selected as national athletes in national athlete contest held in Cheongju Namgung Yudo Building on the 1st. The will participate in 2022 Hangzhou Asian Game Kurash to be held in China as national athletes.

Kurash is traditional martial arts of Uzbekistan and is similar with Yudo.It was properly adopted as a regular item in 2018 Jakarta & Palembang Asian Game.

  Manager LEE Jeong-hwa of YU Yudo Team said, “I am proud of my players who acquired good results through hard training. I thank President CHOI Oe-chool, SEO Bo-geon (Dean of Students), and YU’s Staff for their support of and interest in players for training in good environment. Better results will be obtained in 022 Hangzhou Asian Game.”
