On a sunny morning last Saturday in May, about 2,000 alumni, students, and school personnel gathered on the soccer field near YU main gate.

YU (President CHOI Oe-chool) held “Cheonma Family's alma mater visit and trekking contest” celebrating the 75th Anniversary of YU and the 70th Anniversary of YU Alumni Association (Chairman YOON Dong-han). The Trekking Contest was held for YU alumni, students, and personnel to gather and walk on alma master campus for unity at the 75th Anniversary of YU.

Chairman YOON Dong-han of YU Alumni Association commented, “Alumni climbing competition has been held every year by the Alumni Association but, this year, is held as a trekking contest at the alma mater. I hope you revitalize the love for YU in your heart and love YU as Cheonma Family by visiting YU.”

Participants of the contest walked about 7km of trekking course including main buildings of YU Gyeongsan Campus, Love Road, and Fork Village for two hours. At Folk Village located in the middle of the trekking course, Acoustic Guitar Busking Performance and other events including Photo Zone were prepared.

After the Trekking Contest in the morning, cultural performances were held in the afternoon for alumni who visited their alma mater after a long time. NOH Hee-seop, a famous street singer from YU and the head of INSIEM Art Corporation, showed classic performance, and, MAX & ZENITH (a dance group of YU Group Association) and Cheonma Cheering Squad held performances to welcome alumni for visiting alma mater.

President CHOI Oe-chool of YU said, “It is an honor to invite the alumni and their families to the alma mater in the meaningful year of the 75th Anniversary of YU. I hope the alumni, who have been playing a pivotal role in every part of Korea, will have a chance to relax and love YU on their alma mater's campus. For sustainable development of YU, affection and support of alumni, as well as endeavors of students and faculty, are very important. I hope 270,000 YU alumni show interest and support the development of their alma mater. All staff of the alma mater will cultivate talents to contribute to development of society with a motherly heart.
