HONG Ji-heun (male, college master level) and KIM Ji-yeong (female student sector) took 1st places

Player KIM Ji-yeong, a judo player, took 1st place in her second participation in the Ssireum competition

YU Ssireum Club (Manager: HEO Yong) took 1st place in both male and female sectors of college master’s ssireum competition.

Player HONG Ji-heun (aged 19, 1st grade of Faculty of Physical Education) took 1st place in Male College Master’s Class and KIM Ji-yeong (aged 20, 2nd grade of Department of Special Physical Education) took 1st place in Female Student Mugunghwa Class of YU Ssireum Club in 14th Guryeo Female Grand Master’s Ssireum and College Masters’ Ssireum Competition held in Jeonnam Guryeo from September 22nd to 25th.

Especially, KIM Ji-yeong, a player of YU Ssireum Club took 1st place in her second partition in Ssireum item after participation in Gangreung Dano Competition held in May.

Also, in male college sector, LIM Jae-min (aged 19, 1st grade of Faculty of Physical Education) took 2nd place in Sojang Class and JEONG Jong-jin (aged 22, 4th grade of Department of Special Physical Education) took 3rd place in Yongjang Class.

Manager HEO Yong of YU Ssireum Club said, “Current environment of female ssireum is very good. However, the player group is very small compared with the environment and many opportunities will be given to female players for selection of their courses. Player KIM Ji-yeong is at armature level but she will be able to act as a player of judo or ssireum after graduation if she tries more in training. I thank Manager LEE Jeong-hwa of Judo Club for permission of play in two items.”
