국어한자음은 중국 중고 이후의 운서에 나타난 반절을 국어의 음체계로 이식해 놓은 '정음', 이러한 정음과는 달리 한자의 聲符에 유추되거나 고유어의 음운변화 등에 이끌린 `속음`, 그리고 한자어에서 화석화된 '한국어'의 세 유형으로 구분된다. 본 강좌에서는 이 세 유형의 한자음들의 특성과 그들의 성립과정, 그리고 역사적인 변화 등을 고찰한다.

교착어인 국어는 그 특성상 매우 중요하고 흥미로운 형태론적 현상들을 지니고 있다. 본 강좌의 목표는 이에 대한 좀더 합리적인 설명 방법을 모색하는 데 있다. 이를 위하여 구조형태론과 생성형태론을 비롯한 형태론 분야의 다양한 이론을 익히고, 이를 바탕으로 국어의 곡용과 활용 및 단어 형성 과정에 나타나는 교체 현상, 단어의 구조와 조어법 등에 대한 기존 논의를 비판적으로 검토한다. 아울러 인접분야인 음운론 및 통사론과 형태론의 상호관계에 대해서도 알아본다.

근대국어(17-19세기)의 표기법, 음운, 형태 및 통사상의 특징들을 학습한다. 표기법에서는 중세국어의 그것과 비교함으로써 근대국어만의 특징을 이해하고, 음운 부문에서는 당시의 음운 체계와 음운변화를, 형태 부문에서는 단어의 구조 및 형성, 곡용과 활용, 수식어와 독립어 등을 그리고 통사 부문에서는 문장의 구조와 그 확대, 문장의 내포, 통사상의 특수성 등을 학습한다.

외국문학 이론과 작품에 대한 강독을 통해 문학에 대한 인식의 폭을 넓히고 우리 문학작품을 재인식할 수 있는 시각을 갖도록 하자는 것이 본 강좌의 목표이다. 이를 위해 본 강좌에서는 외국의 문학이론 뿐만 아니라 사회이론, 예술이론 등을 폭넓게 흡수하면서 그와 관련된 외국 문학작품과 우리 문학작품을 비교, 검토하고자 한다.

차자로 표기된 전기중세국어(10-14세기) 문헌자료들과 대부분이 훈민정음으로 표기된 후기중세국어(15-16 세기) 문헌자료들의 표기법을 면밀히 고찰하여 당시의 음운을 분석하고 이들을 체계화하며, 또한 이들의 배열 방식 및 음운과정(음운규칙)을 이해한다. 그리고 학계에서 논쟁이 되고 있는 문제점들에 대해 집중적으로 논의한다.

上代부터 고려시대에 생산·향유되었던 시가 작품들을 개별적으로 고찰하여 그 본래의 기능과 미학적 효과를 밝혀보고, 그들의 상관관계를 밝혀내려고 한다. 이러한 작업은 우리 시가의 근본과 그 미학적 기능을 천착하게 한다. 그리고 이러한 작품들이 조선시대에 어떻게 변화하여 영향을 미치게 되었는가도 밝혀 보도록 한다.

한국 현대문학특강은 한국의 현대 문학이 지니고 있는 특징을 한층 더 심도있게 고구(考究)하기 위해서 개설된 강좌이다. 그래서 본 강좌에서는 한국 현대 문학의 기점 문제와 그 사적 전개 과정, 그리고 시대별ㆍ작가별 특징을 고찰하고, 나아가서는 이것들이 한국문학사에서 어떤 위치를 차지하고 있는가를 점검하기로 한다.

문학은 연극, 영화, 미술, 음악, 대중문화 등 다양한 문화 형태 가운데 하나이다. 문학연구에서 문화연구로 폭을 넓혀 나가는 세계적 학문 추세에 조응하여 본 강좌는 문학 텍스트 연구의 범위를 문자 텍스트에 국한하지 않고 영상(이미지) 텍스트까지 확대하고자 한다. 문학이론과 비평에 대한 학습을 통해 문학 작품과 영화, TV, 미술, 음악 등 대중문화 텍스트에 대한 심층적 이해와 분석을 시도하는 것이 본 강좌의 궁극적 목표이다.

중세국어는 전기 중세국어와 후기중세국어로 나눌 수 있다. 전기중세국어에서는 차자표기자료에 나타난 형태상의 특징을 학습한다. 그리고 후기중세국어에서는 훈민정음으로 표기된 자료의 분석을 통하여, 단어의 구조 및 형성, 곡용, 활용, 후치사의 첨사 등을 학습한다.

국어국문학과 2005-1 시의 언어는 특수한 의장을 가진 언어다. 이 말에는 하나의 시어가 다층적 언어의 의미와 기능을 할 수 있도록 짜여져 있다는 말이 포함된다. 그러기에 시 읽기는 정독을 요한다. 그동안 시 읽기가 부정확했던 점들을 꼼꼼히 살펴서 시의 본의에 가장 부합되는 정확한 읽기를 해야 하는 작업이 시의 연구에서는 반드시 요청된다. 대상 시 작품은 한국의 현대시로 한정하며 필요한 경우 외국시를 선택할 수도 있다.

본 강좌에서는 러일전쟁 이후 만주 지역을 소재로 한 한국어 문학작품을 분석하면서 만주라는 공간의 특징을 이해하고자 한다. 일본인들은 러일전쟁 이후 남만주철도회사와 군대 등을 매개로 해서 만주에 이주하기 시작하고, 조선인들은 일제강점기 토지조사사업 과정에서 만주로 이주하기 시작한다. 그리고 이러한 흐름은 1932년 일본의 만주국 설립을 계기로 새로운 전기를 맞는데 이러한 과정에서 한국인, 중국인, 일본인이 쓴 일본어 문학작품들이 만주 지역에서 등장한다. 본 강좌에서는 이러한 작품들을 면밀히 분석하면서 만주 지역에 대한 이해를 시도할 것이다.
