미디어커뮤니케이션학과 대학원은
미디어커뮤니케이션학과 대학원은 2001년에 언론정보학과로서 설립되었으며, 2024년에 명칭을 변경하였다. 인간사회의 전반적인 커뮤니케이션 현상을 이해하고 학문적으로 탐구하는 학과로서, 인간 커뮤니케이션을 비롯한 신문, 방송, 광고 등 기존의 매스 커뮤니케이션 뿐만 아니라 케이블 텔레비전, 컴퓨터통신, 인터넷, 위성방송 등 첨단 뉴미디어를 이용한 정보통신 분야, 그리고 소셜미디어와 빅데이터에 어떻게 접근하고 활용할 것인지에 대해 전반적으로 연구하고 교육하는 학과이다.
Introduction
The Graduate School of Media and Communication was established in 2001 as the Department of Media and Information and changed its name in 2024. It is a department that understands and academically explores the overall communication phenomenon of human society, and studies and teaches the field of information and communication using advanced new media such as cable television, computer communication, the Internet, and satellite broadcasting as well as existing mass communication such as human communication, and how to access and utilize social media and big data.
