미디어아트연구 STUDIES IN MEDIA ART (3(3))
미디어아트 작품들을 분석하고 토론을 통해 미디어아트의 역사와 기술적 변천과정에 대한 이해를 도모한다. 그 과정을 토대로 개개인의 실험적이고 창의적인 미디어아트 작품연구를 한다.

미술표현에 사용되어져 온 재료들에 대한 종류와 특성을 연구한다. 현대 미술에 사용되어져 온 새로운 재료와 특성들에 대해 연구함으로써 조형전개의 다양성을 추구한다. 미술 작품에 사용된 재료에 따른 미술 작품의 개념과 성격 특성의 변화 등을 연구한다.

트랜스아트는 동시대 미술에 있어 매체간의 경계를 허물고 실험하며, 새롭게 정의되어야할 예술의 방향을 모색하는 과정이다. 이 수업은 프로젝트 토론과 실습을 통해 창의적이며 실험적인 작업에 중점을 둔다.

컴퓨터 베이스 3D에 대한 이해와 3D프린터 및 2D 레이저 커팅기를 이용하여 결과물을 만드는 작업까지 진행하면서, 전반적인 3D 스캔, 모델링에서 부터 오픈 소스 프로그램을 이용한 전문적인 작업까지 다방면으로 경험하게 한다.

현대 시민 사회에 있어 미술의 공공성이 절실히 요구되고 있다. 본 강좌는 현대 공공미술의 현장에서 활동 중인 예술가들의 선행 사례연구와 진행 중인 공공미술 영역에서 활동하고 있는 예술가들과 공동협력 세미나를 통한 공공미술 이슈에 관한 문제들을 연구한다.

작품을 제작할 때 사용되어지는 다양한 여러 가지 기법들을 이해하고 개발함으로써 창의적 조형사고와 표현능력을 함양한다. 각 시대별 조각기법의 변화에 따른 조각양식과 형식의 변화, 표현내용과 이미지의 변화를 연구함과 동시에 조형세계의 다양한 표현방법을 익힌다.

트랜스아트연구(2)는 가능한 한 실생활에서 자연스럽게 발생하는 현상에 초점을 맞춘다. 수업진행방식은 개인작업 발표와 토론, 새로운 실험적인 작업방식연구 등을 통하여 자신의 미적 개념의 한계를 확장한다.

Trans Art is a course to break down the boundaries between the media, experiment with new media, and explore new directions in art. This course focuses on creative, experimental work through discussions and practical training.

This course is for master degree-seeking students who take an option of non-thesis. This option is to conduct assignments by the department which is one of the graduation requirements.
