General support for the “Creative Convergence Engineering Talent Training Support Project”

Planning to lead the development of engineering education by nurturing creative and convergence engineering talent

<Professor KANG Dong-jin of YU Department of Mechanical Engineering was elected as the Chairman of the Engineering Education Innovation Council>

 Professor KANG Dong-jin (61) of YU Department of Mechanical Engineering was elected as the Chairman of the Engineering Education Innovation Council in 2024. His term runs from April this year to April 2026.

 At the “2024 Consortium Host University Workshop & 1st Engineering Education Innovation Project Committee” held at the Engineering Education Innovation Research and Information Center on the 24th of last month, Director KANG Dong-jin  (Professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering)of YU Engineering Education Innovation Center presented outstanding achievements in the field of engineering education. In recognition of his leadership and was elected as the Chairman of the Engineering Education Innovation Council in 2024.

The Engineering Education Innovation Council support a total of 73 engineering education innovation centers and a consortium of 13 host universities and research information centers selected for “Creative Convergence Engineering Talent Training Support Project” hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT). Professor KANG Dong-jin, who was elected as the chairman, plans a nationwide engineering festival (E2FESTA) hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy in November and to promote engineering education in Korea through close connection with industrial sites as well as cultivation of creative convergence engineering talents to lead development.
