Alumni of YU College of Pharmacy donated KRW 54 million as alma mater development fund.

In the morning on the 19th, Class 93 Alumnus Council (Chairman, KIM Jung-hwan) of YU College of Pharmacy visited the alma master. They met President CHOI Oe-chool of YU and donated KRW 54 million to be used for development of the university.

Chairman KIM Jung-hwan of Class 93 Alumnus Council of YU College of Pharmacy said, “A long time has elapsed after graduation but my mind to love my alma master YU is not changed. The alumni had a meeting recently. YU College of Pharmacy has been the foundation for Class 93 alumni to work in every part of the society and to be in this place now. Alumni made a united effort to give back some of the benefits received from the alma mater. I hope all YU alumni to cheer development of alma master and juniors. Starting with today’s donation of development fund, our Alumnus Council will spare no effort to support the development of our alma mater.”

In response to such words, President CHOI Oe-chool of YU commented, “I thank numerous alumni for cheering alma master as the president. I think that the capability and prestige of the university may be enhanced due to existence of such alumni working in every place of the society. The environment surrounding the university is not easy but alumni’s interest and cheering is highly helpful. I will do my best for development of the university to meet the will of alumni cheering development of alma master. I want continuous interest and cheering in future, too.”

The love of alma master by alumni of YU College of Pharmacy is extraordinary. Especially, alumni of YU College of Pharmacy led “Project to gather construction fund of college of pharmacy” for many years and brought completion of construction Pharmacy Building in 2020 which had been long-awaited project of YU College of Pharmacy.
