YU (President CHOI Oe-chool) took the 7th place in the universities that produced CEOs of listed large enterprises in 2023. It’s the 1st place in non-metropolitan private universities.
Data News recently analyzed 387 out of 408 CEOs of listed large enterprises whose graduate schools were confirmed and YU ranked 10th with production of 8 CEOs.
Seoul National University took 1st place with production of 95 CEOs and was followed by Yonsei University and Korea University. Each of 10 universities produced 8 or more CEOs in the country and YU is the only university among non-metropolitan private universities.
Last year, YU ranked 7th nationwide in the ranking of Korea's top 100 CEO-producing universities in 2022 analyzed by Hankyung Business and NICE Information Service and also ranked 9th in the analysis of universities produced CEOs of listed affiliates of Korea's top 30 groups announced by Data News with production of 5 CEOs and YU is the only private university in the non-metropolitan area which has been consistently included in high positions.
President CHOI Oe-chool of YU said, “It can be confirmed through various data that YU alumni are at the center of Korea’s economic growth. We will do our best to support them so that they may grow to be qualified talents to lead development to an advanced country and to be the talents to contribute in common prosperity of human society.”
