Over 700 \'Academic Scholarships for Freshmen\' including 460 students receiving 2 year scholarships
51% increase compared to previous year for academic scholarships for freshmen

 Yeungnam University (president Lee, Hyo-soo) which is happy to see a 51% increase of freshmen on academic scholarships in the 2010 school year, held a freshmen scholarship awarding ceremony at the auditorium of the College of Sciences on the 23rd.

 This day, Yeungnam University pledged 4 year scholarships to a total of 219 students including 112 freshmen who were granted with the \'21st Century Chunma Special Scholarship\', which is an academic scholarship representing Yeungnam University. Accordingly, these 219 students will receive a 6 thousand dollar scholarship every semester and will be able to fully concentrate on their studies.

 In addition, students who receive 50% scholarships for two years have risen from 254 last year to 467 this year, and thus a total of 700 freshmen will receive scholarships, showing that it led to this year\'s overall increase in admissions test grades.
